I knew my love of shiny objects would come in handy one day and guess what popped up on Yanko's RSS feed this morning, only a brilliant concept for the visually impaired and colour blind. The Bright-F by Lifeng Yu works by sensing hue, saturation and brightness and sends auditory feedback to the user. This will be an invaluable tool for VI users with getting dressed along with washing and buying clothes.
Sounds such a simple idea I'm surprised no one thought of it before, unfortunately this is a still only a concept but I'm guessing some Compu-global Hyper-mega-net type company will take this on and win a Nobel prize.
